Today the school took us to see the Flora Expo, and the whole school came out~ This field trip was very different from usual, because we had to meet at Yuanshan MRT Station on our own XD. So the MRT station was full of students from Songshan Vocational School. Anyone who didn’t know would be startled, I bet, XD. Before we went to the Flora Expo, the teachers told us not to buy food inside, because there are long lines. But a friend who had gone on their own said… there aren’t that many people in line, but you should still buy your food outside before going in, because the food inside is very expensive, so expensive that nobody wants to buy it in there…
We were supposed to gather at 8:30, but we actually got in around 9:20. The big plaza right outside Yuanshan MRT Station was packed with students, because three schools were coming today, so the entrance to the Yuanshan venue was crowded with people. When I arrived, I couldn’t even find my classmates. I wandered around until I finally spotted them. Also, when I left home in the morning I was wearing a casual jacket, but many people were wearing school jackets, which startled me. Once we got to Yuanshan it was super hot and I regretted bringing a jacket, and I didn’t find out what cold meant until the afternoon…

Around 3:30 PM the school called us over to take attendance. After roll call they let us wander around on our own. Since we had mostly just been walking all morning without visiting any venue, it felt like a waste, so I made plans with classmates to see the Zhengyan Pavilion. We had guessed it would have the shortest line, but we still waited nearly 40 minutes.

Honestly, today was exhausting. Although the official field trip ended at 3:30, I could stay in the park and keep looking around, so I stayed until 7 PM. Then I stopped at Eslite Bookstore to read for a while, and didn’t get home until 10 PM. My feet still hurt! My advice to anyone planning to see the Flora Expo: go at night, because it’s prettier, especially around Dajia Riverside Park. Going in the morning is super boring. And definitely don’t buy food inside, it’s really expensive~~~~~~~~ Also, smoking is not allowed in the park, or you’ll be fined.
