Have you noticed that this blog has been loading much faster lately? IE users also find it less likely to crash when browsing this site now. I just checked Google Webmaster Tools, and it turns out the theme optimization I did a while ago really worked. Load time has finally dropped to under ten seconds!

Although it’s still slower than 87% of web pages, I think a few more seconds of improvement should get me to the standard of being faster than 50% of web pages, xD. But I do have a fairly big question… Which is bigger, PNG or JPEG? The results I get differ depending on the conversion program. Most programs produce smaller JPEG files. But when I converted files with the editor in the FSCapture v5.3 screenshot software, the PNG came out at only 1/2 to 1/3 the size of the JPEG. FSCapture v5.3 can’t batch convert, which is a bit of a shame = =. Otherwise I could probably cut the load time by another 2 to 3 seconds. I guess I’ll have to wait until my current hosting contract expires and then switch to a hosting provider in Taiwan.
