whos.amung.us is the best-known counter I know of. It can count how many people are online right now, and whos.amung.us can also tell you which posts those visitors are reading. Most importantly, whos.amung.us requires no registration and costs nothing. You don’t have to give them any information to use their service.
How to Use whos.amung.us:
1. Go to the whos.amung.us website and scroll down. You'll find a block of code. Copy that code and paste it into your blog.

If your blog doesn’t let you add JavaScript code (for example, Wretch), click “Non Javascript,” then copy the code provided there instead.

Once you’ve installed whos.amung.us, click the whos.amung.us image on your blog. It will take you to another page that shows how many visitors are currently reading your blog and where they’re coming from. (Click the image below and you’ll see what I mean. XD)
