Supreme Commander - A Truly Different Strategy Game
Supreme Commander is a strategy game designed by Chris Taylor, the producer of Total Annihilation. What makes Supreme Commander special is that its control scheme is quite different from ordinary strategy games (Age of Empires and Age of Empires II). It lets you command your units more conveniently. For example, I used to love playing Age of Empires. Every time I played it, I thought it was fun, but the controls had some shortcomings. When using transport boats to carry troops, for instance, you had to keep moving the transports back and forth. In Supreme Commander, you can use an assist function so that the transport automatically takes the unit to its destination as soon as it is produced. Also, in Age of Empires, patrolling was automatic within the area covered by your buildings. But sometimes your city is scattered, and with the default patrol method it is very dangerous (units get isolated and attacked). In Supreme Commander, you can set the patrol route directly. The whole control scheme satisfied me to the extreme~ Of course, Age of Empires is also fun. I do not know why my CD seems to have gone bad..... And the computer opponents in Age of Empires seemed too weak to me, so I got tired of it....
