The first reason is that I'm a poor student and can't afford the expensive <a href="http://www.vmware.com/tw/">VMware</a>, and VirtualBox is free. But that alone wouldn't stop me from using VMware, since VMware Player is free too. The other, more important reason is that VirtualBox performs very well.
