Fixing Errors Caused by a Virus

Some viruses use the registry to damage computers. Basically, I’m only posting one example here; the registry has many other places where things can be hidden, so if you don’t know much about computers, don’t try to change other places. At best nothing happens, at worst the computer is ruined. Following the steps below is safe. “Start” “Run”, type “regedit” HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shell\open\command HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT –> exefile –> shell –> open –> command Then check the “(Default)” value. If it is “%1” %* it is normal. If it isn’t, your computer has been infected. Double-click it and change it to “%1” %* Also, pay attention to other places!!

Fixing Hidden Files That Won't Open

If you’ve ever been infected by a USB virus, some of them make your hidden files stop showing up. This post shows you how to fix the problem of hidden files not appearing, which covers most cases. First: “Start” –> “Run” –> type “regedit” –> “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL” I’ll expand these one level at a time so beginners don’t get lost. HKEY_CURRENT_USER → SOFTWARE → Microsoft → Windows → CurrentVersion → Explorer → Advanced → Folder → Hidden → SHOWALL Once expanded, do you see “CheckedValue” on the right? Double-click it, choose hexadecimal, and enter 1 in the box. Next, either restart the computer, or open Task Manager –> Processes tab –> end “explorer.exe” –> at this point the desktop and taskbar will disappear. Then, on the Applications tab, right-click on a blank area –> “New Task (Run)” –> enter “explorer.exe” and you’re done.

Put simply, if you’ve downloaded some things you’d rather keep private~ you can store them on a hidden drive so the wrong people won’t see them. ...

How to Fix the "0x000000 Memory Cannot Be Read" Error

Recently I keep running into a problem while playing games. Programs sometimes show an error. The message says “0x000000 memory cannot be Read”. I saw in a book that it indicates the memory read error location. But the book didn’t say what to do about it. So I looked online. One method I found online is to use a cmd command to re-register the DLL files. ...
